Weekly Catch up...What have we been doing?

This week found us drowning again surrounded by all things remodel. My room is at a solid 98% complete - I've still got to paint my trim & one door with the gleaming white enamel paint I'm suddenly in love with. Then I will commit to hanging things on the walls. Next stop living room...which is in progress just like the kitchen.

Grant left me these crumbs after his Tuesday Breakfast. I love that kid.


Madison has added this cat to her Christmas list. She seems to enjoy robot pets.


Madison is still enjoying Ballet class & I'm enjoying it too.




The boys went nuts for these - they are such nerds. I added it to their Christmas List.


This guy ruined my Monday, by swerving off the road & kicking up rocks that cracked the window of my new car. This guy is on my list.


Caught up on some reading.


Had a nice dinner out with Mike, no kiddies.


Slowed down to watch a sunset.


And still squeezed in some football.


A solid packed full week. Sidebar: I've been biking 7 miles every morning. So far 3 mornings in a row. Fingers crossed for 4. Nine pounds to goal, if you're keeping up. I'm pretty excited.

35, day 199 Catch up

As life continues to swirl and swirl around us...I slow down to photograph something everyday - here's a bit of the random activities I've been up to...Compliments of the ever exciting Hipstamatic for my iPhone.
Found this book in an antique store...read it.

Was surprised this was high end art - it's called "Spiritual America" - who know's what people will dig up after I've kicked it.

I'm still painting the grout in my studio - it's hard to be inspired to do it consistantly. But i'm getting closer.

Enjoyed a Great dinner at Daruma in Daphne Alabama. Best Sushi ever. Only 800 calories. Try not to think about it.

Mike seriously popped some fireworks this week. One big one he found when he was cleaning the garage. Another perk of living in the country.

Photographed the adorable first cousins, Nora & Franci - they loved this bear.

Mike bought this vanity set for tiny Madison. I immediately claimed it as a shared item.

I am still in love with the Big Kahuna Water Park, and their Bahama Mamas.

I have still managed to NOT win the Lottery.

Enjoyed this beautiful Sunset.

Yep, it's my baby.

Bought some new music.

Watched this movie 3 times. Love it.

My award winning photograph has made it back home from it's 3 month Mobile Tour - not sure where it will live yet, but it looks great here in the studio for now.

This creepy wasp distracted my 7 mile bike ride. Stationary Style, of course.

And this sad one is called, "84 in a 70" - a real damper to end the week.

Remember to slow down and enjoy the days, especially when you're driving. When I told Mike about old 84 in a 70, he said, "Daphne, what's the problem? Isn't the speed limit posted everywhere?" As it turns out, it is.

35, day 175 Catch up...

Catch up. Really, again? Yep. (I'm fully aware of the "blogging" embarrassment)
So, what have I been up to? Well, I've had some fantastic adventures and I started counting calories - yuck. But somewhere along the way of the miserable endless counting, I've misplaced 13 pounds, so kudos to me.

My wonderful husband, got me a couple cool filters with my Mother's day goodies. I am determined to find more uses for this filter than the sparkling holidays.
